Norwich and Cambridge Weekend Dance Course
Our ‘weekend away’ dance workshop, usually in the spring, is moving to a new venue. Norwich Historical Dance is delighted to inform you that Kath Waters, professional dance lecturer and well known performer, will be the tutor for our next course running from 5 to 7 April 2024. The venue will be the peaceful and expansive campus of the University of East Anglia with its unique Sainsbury Centre art museum. Saturday afternoon is reserved as a time to explore locally or just to rest up a little.

Norwich and Cambridge Early Dance Weekend 2023
The tutor was Sasza Zargowski and he led the dancers in Victorian Quadrille Dances. Sasza has researched these 19th century dances and over 3 days the dancers enjoyed the music, the Polka and Scottishe steps and had the added bonus of some waltz dance tuition. Originally qualified as a Ballroom and Latin dance teacher, Sasza has been teaching, performing and researching historical dance for over 15 years.

Saturday afternoons are reserved as a time to explore locally or just to rest up a little . Activities this year were confined to the indoors as the weather proved very wet and windy!
Saturday evening has more lighthearted social dancing.
In previous years we had the delights of Lebanese dance to learn. This year Sasza acted as ‘caller’ for a typical Victorian evening of dances.
