Kath Waters delighted us all with a splendid series of dance tutorials ranging from early Playford to courtly Italian Italian Renaissance dances, working us hard and with each session starting with excellent warm up exercises.
Norwich and Cambridge’s annual weekend Historical Dance workshop for 2025 at the UEA brought together dancers from across the country and from France under the excellent tutoring of Kath Waters“Up a double and Back” to start ‘Adson’s Saraband’ from Playford’s 1561 ‘The Dancing Master’. The Norwich and Cambridge annual ‘Early Dance’ residential weekend at the UEA in Norwich enjoyed more Italian Renaissance dances as well as going back to the early Playford dances from 1651.
